Kudakkallu Parambu

Kudakkallu Parambu is a prehistoric megalithic burial site at Chiramanangad, also written Cheramangad, in Thrissur district, Kerala. Kerala Tourism records 69 preserved monuments at the site and highlights its rare kudakkallu, or umbrella-shaped stone monuments, from which the place takes its name. The archaeological landscape also includes other megalithic forms such as dolmens, hood stones, urn burials and rock-cut features. The monument is under the protection of the Archaeological Survey of India, making it one of the district's most important publicly recognised prehistoric heritage locations.

For visitors, the attraction is not a conventional landscaped tourist park but an archaeological field where the surviving stone monuments can be understood in their original setting.
