About Dutch Cemetery
The Dutch Cemetery is located in Fort Kochi, Ernakulam district, Kerala, on a road running close to the historic waterfront and St. Francis Church. Kerala Tourism records that the cemetery was consecrated in 1724 and contains 104 tombs associated with Dutch and British residents.
Many of the graves are built from granite or laterite, and surviving epitaphs preserve names and details from Kochi’s colonial period.
