Kunnathoor Padi

Kunnathoor Padi, also written Kunnathurpadi or Kunnathoorpady, is a pilgrimage destination in the uplands of Kannur district, Kerala, associated with Sree Muthappan. The Kunnathurpadi Muthappan Devasthanam is known for an annual Theyyam festival season traditionally held around December and January. The attraction is distinctive because worship, landscape and ritual performance come together in a comparatively remote hill-and-forest setting.

Visitors are drawn not only by pilgrimage but also by the opportunity to understand the living Theyyam tradition of North Malabar.
