Puralimala

About Puralimala

Puralimala is one of Kannur district’s notable hill destinations, standing at about 3,000 feet above sea level in northern Kerala. From its higher reaches, visitors can look across the landscape toward Thalassery and the distant Arabian Sea. The hill carries strong historical associations: Kerala Tourism records traditions connecting Puralimala with Pazhassi Raja’s resistance against the British and identifies Harischandra Fort as an attraction in the area.

Local mythology and the old kalari traditions at the foothills add further cultural depth.
