Keraladeeshapuram Temple

Keraladeeshapuram Temple is a historic Vishnu temple in the Keraladheeswarapuram area of Tanalur village, close to Tanur in Malappuram district. Malappuram District’s official tourism page places the shrine about three kilometres south of Tanur town and describes it as one of Keralam’s old temples, with a tradition that attributes very great antiquity to the site. Keralam Revenue Department records are useful for fixing the geography more precisely: Keraladheeswarapuram is one of the amsoms within Tanalur village, and Tanalur falls in Tirur taluk.

The location therefore belongs to the broader Tanur cultural landscape while being administratively within Tanalur/Tirur taluk. Visitors come primarily for worship and for the atmosphere of an established Keralam temple rather than for modern tourist infrastructure. The shrine can be combined with Tanur’s coastal heritage and other Tirur-area attractions.
