About Arippara Waterfalls

Arippara Waterfalls is located near Anakkampoyil on the Thiruvambady–Anakkampoyil route in eastern Kozhikode district, Kerala. The Kozhikode district administration places the falls about 15 kilometres from Thiruvambady and identifies the stream as a tributary of the Iruvanjippuzha. The waterfall moves through a rocky landscape, creating a series of cascades and natural pools framed by the green foothills of the Western Ghats.

The attraction is especially appealing to visitors looking for a countryside and nature experience away from Kozhikode city. Water volume and appearance change considerably between dry periods and the monsoon, so repeat visits can feel very different. The surrounding rocks may become extremely slippery when wet, and natural pools can have changing depth and current.
