Panachikkad Dakshina Mookambika Temple

Panachikkad Dakshina Mookambika Temple, also known as Panachikkadu Saraswathi Temple, is one of Kottayam district’s best-known centres of worship dedicated to Goddess Saraswathi, the deity associated with learning, music and the arts. Keralam Tourism describes the shrine as the “Mookambika of the South.” Unlike the conventional sanctum seen at many Keralam temples, the principal sacred presence is associated with a pond-like setting shaded by vegetation, giving the temple a character of its own.
