Attukad Waterfalls

Attukad Waterfalls are set in the hilly landscape between Munnar and Pallivasal in Idukki district. Keralam Tourism places Attukad roughly 9 kilometres from Munnar and describes the area as a strong choice for trekking, with routes moving through rocky hills, small streams and lush vegetation. The waterfall experience is closely tied to the seasons: monsoon and the greener months generally strengthen the cascades and intensify the surrounding landscape.

Attukad is therefore less about a single engineered viewpoint and more about the combination of flowing water, steep terrain and the feeling of moving through Munnar’s plantation-and-forest countryside.
