Chavara Bhavan

Chavara Bhavan is a Christian pilgrimage and heritage site at Kainakary in the Kuttanad region of Alappuzha district. It is the birthplace and ancestral home of St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara, a 19th-century Catholic priest, educator and social reformer whose work had a lasting influence on Kerala's religious and educational life.

The traditional family home has been preserved as a shrine and memorial, with displays and devotional spaces that help visitors understand his life and legacy.
