Chuttippara

Chuttippara is one of the most recognisable natural landmarks close to Pathanamthitta town. Keralam Tourism describes it as a cluster of rocky hills rising prominently above the surrounding area, creating a convenient viewpoint for broad town-and-countryside panoramas. The climb is relatively compact compared with remote Western Ghats treks, making Chuttippara attractive to local walkers, photographers and visitors looking for sunrise or sunset scenery.

The hill also carries a cultural layer through the Harihara Mahadeva Temple and local Ramayana-linked traditions associated with the rocks. Because exposed rock surfaces can become hot, slippery or difficult depending on weather, sensible footwear and caution are important, particularly after rain or in low light.
