Kadalur Point Lighthouse

Kadalur Point Lighthouse is a prominent maritime landmark at Kadalur near Koyilandy in Kozhikode district, Kerala. The Kozhikode district administration identifies it as Nandi Lighthouse as well, and records the circular stone-masonry tower as approximately 34 metres high. The lighthouse began operation in 1907 and is easily recognised by its black-and-white banded appearance against the coastal landscape.

The location overlooks the Arabian Sea and adds a heritage element to a route otherwise dominated by beaches and fishing settlements. It is roughly eight kilometres from Koyilandy, with the Moodadi side providing access to the locality. Travellers can combine the lighthouse area with Thikkodi Beach, Payyoli Beach and other attractions along the north Kozhikode coast.

The exterior, coastal setting and views are attractions in themselves; access to lighthouse premises or the tower can be subject to operational rules and timings, so visitors who specifically want to enter should check current official access conditions before travelling.
