About Kakkadampoyil Hill Station

Kakkadampoyil is a developing hill destination in the Western Ghats along the Kozhikode–Malappuram district boundary. Kerala Revenue records identify Kakkadampoyil as one of the important tourism areas of Koodaranhi village in Kozhikode district and place that village in Thamarassery Taluk. The surrounding highlands are characterised by steep green slopes, forest patches, streams, cultivated hillsides and frequent mist, creating a markedly different landscape from coastal Kozhikode.

The wider Kakkadampoyil region is also linked with waterfalls and nature spots on both sides of the district border, so visitors often use the settlement as a base for short scenic drives and day excursions. India Post lists Kakkatampoyil under PIN 673604. The area's appeal is primarily its climate, hill scenery and quiet rural atmosphere rather than a single monument.

Roads become steep and weather can change quickly during the monsoon, so travellers should plan daylight journeys, check local road conditions and avoid entering private estates or forest areas without permission.
