Krishna Menon Museum

Krishna Menon Museum at East Hill is one of Kozhikode's principal museums, established in 1975 as a tribute to V. K. Krishna Menon, the influential diplomat and former Defence Minister of India.

Kerala Tourism notes that the exhibits trace his life through photographs, archival material, speeches, writings, personal belongings and souvenirs presented by international figures. The museum is also valuable as an art destination: its collection includes dozens of paintings, with works associated with Raja Ravi Varma and Raja Raja Varma, along with murals, ivory objects, wood carvings and metal sculpture. The museum occupies a building more than two centuries old and stands within landscaped grounds that include a medicinal garden and butterfly park.

A library and spaces used for educational or cultural programmes broaden the visitor experience beyond display galleries. Located in East Hill, it can be paired with the nearby Pazhassi Raja Museum and Art Gallery, making this part of Kozhikode especially worthwhile for visitors interested in Kerala history, art and public culture.
