About Laha
Laha, also encountered in postal records as Lahai, is a small settlement in the Perunad region of Ranni Taluk, Pathanamthitta district, Keralam. India Post records confirm the locality under the 689662 postal area. Laha lies within the hilly eastern side of the district, where roads toward Sabarimala and forest settlements pass through plantations, wooded slopes and increasingly rugged terrain.
It is not a formal hill station with organised viewpoints, resorts or ticketed attractions, so its tourism value is mainly as a scenic waypoint and part of the wider Ranni-Perunad highland journey. Pilgrimage traffic can increase greatly during the Sabarimala season, changing road conditions and travel times. Visitors exploring for scenery should travel during daylight, use established public roads and avoid entering forest or private plantation land without permission.
Laha can be combined with Perunad, Vadasserikkara, Nilakkal and other eastern Pathanamthitta destinations.
