Why this place stands out
Manjapothi Hills is a quiet Ajanur viewpoint near Kanhangad in Kasaragod, popular for panoramic scenery, evening skies, short walks and sunset photography.
Manjapothi Hills, also locally written Manjampothi Hill, is an understated hill attraction in Ajanur near Kanhangad. The Ajanur Village Office lists it among the area’s tourist places and specifically highlights its panoramic views and colourful evening sky. Unlike a large trekking destination, Manjapothi works best as a short scenic outing where visitors can step away from the busy Kanhangad urban area and enjoy the surrounding northern Keralam landscape from higher ground.
Its proximity to Anandashram, Kanhangad and other Hosdurg attractions makes it easy to include in a local itinerary without a long diversion. The hill’s appeal is strongest in clear evening weather, when the open viewpoint provides attractive light for photography. As the location is comparatively undeveloped, visitors should take care on uneven paths, avoid leaving waste and use extra caution during rainy periods when exposed ground can become slippery.
