Neyyattinkara Sree Krishna Swami Temple

Neyyattinkara Sree Krishna Swami Temple is an important Vaishnavite shrine in the town of Neyyattinkara, south of Thiruvananthapuram city. The temple is closely woven into Travancore history and local tradition, particularly through the story of the Ammachi Plavu, an old jack tree said to have sheltered Maharaja Marthanda Varma from enemies.
