Painavu

Painavu is the district headquarters area of Idukki, Keralam, positioned in the forested central high ranges near Cheruthoni and the Idukki reservoir. Keralam Tourism places Painavu on the Thodupuzha route close to Cheruthoni, while DTPC Idukki operates from Painavu P.O., reinforcing the town’s role as an administrative and tourism-service centre for the district.

Painavu is not a conventional single-attraction destination.
