Palchuram Waterfalls

Palchuram Waterfalls is a scenic waterfall destination near Kottiyoor and Boys Town on the Kannur–Wayanad border in northern Kerala. Set against the Western Ghats, the waterfall descends in multiple stages through a green forested landscape, with Kerala Tourism describing it as a four-stage cascade of roughly 300 feet. Reaching the falls involves leaving the main road and continuing on foot, including a forest trail through plantation and woodland surroundings, so the experience is more adventurous than a roadside viewpoint.

Water volume is strongly seasonal and is usually more dramatic during and after the monsoon, when paths can also become slippery. Visitors should wear suitable footwear, avoid risky approaches to wet rocks or strong currents, and check local access conditions before setting out. The combination of forest, hills and falling water makes Palchuram a distinctive nature stop in the Kottiyoor region of Kannur.
