Perunthenaruvi Waterfalls is one of Pathanamthitta district’s major natural attractions, located in the hilly Vechoochira–Ranni region of Keralam. Set against the Western Ghats, the waterfall spreads across a rugged rocky channel framed by dense greenery. Keralam Tourism describes the watercourse as continuing over the rocks before joining the Pamba River, giving the site both scenic and regional significance.
Visitors can experience the falls through short walks and longer approaches depending on the chosen access point and local conditions. The landscape changes strongly with the seasons: monsoon months can make the cascades especially powerful, while lower-water periods reveal more of the rock formations. The same force that makes the waterfall impressive can also make wet rocks and fast water hazardous.
