Pisharikavu Temple

Pisharikavu Temple is located in Kollam village near Koyilandy in Kozhikode district and is dedicated principally to Goddess Bhadrakali. Kerala Tourism describes the shrine as centuries old and notes that its architectural interest includes intricate traditional wooden carvings, old mural work and sacred groves. The temple has two main shrines, with one also dedicated to Lord Shiva, reflecting the layered ritual character of the complex.

Pisharikavu is especially known for its annual Meenam Utsavam, an eight-day festival that culminates in Valiya Vilakku and Kaliyattom. Temple tradition also gives importance to the Nandakam sword and to the historic Ravari trading community associated with the shrine's story and festival rights.
