Sambranikodi Island

Sambranikodi Island is a scenic wetland and backwater destination on the southern side of Ashtamudi Lake in Kollam district, Kerala. Boat services associated with the destination operate from the Prakkulam side and other local jetties, turning the short journey across the lake into part of the experience. The attraction is known for shallow stretches of water, mangrove vegetation, open lake views and the everyday fishing landscape around Ashtamudi.

In suitable conditions, visitors are guided to designated shallow areas where wading in the lake has become a signature part of the Sambranikodi visit.
