Thekkepuram is a historically and culturally rich quarter of Kozhikode city, Keralam, closely associated with Kuttichira. Keralam Tourism describes the traditional area as lying between the Arabian Sea, Kallayi River, old city neighbourhoods and the Vellayil side. Its identity developed through maritime trade, Muslim mercantile families, traditional residential compounds and religious institutions that helped shape old Calicut.
The quarter's heritage is experienced through a collection of places rather than one single building. Kuttichira pond, old tharavads, narrow streets and historic mosques such as Mishkal Mosque and Muchundi Mosque are among the features highlighted by Keralam Tourism.
