Uthralikkavu Sree Bhagavathy Temple

Uthralikkavu Sree Bhagavathy Temple is an important Devi shrine in Engakkadu, near Wadakkanchery in Thrissur district, Kerala. Kerala Tourism describes the temple, historically associated with the name Rudhiramahakali Kavu, as a spiritual centre surrounded by broad paddy fields. This rural setting gives the shrine a different character from the larger temples in Thrissur city.

The best-known event here is Uthralikkavu Pooram, usually held in February or March. The festival brings together caparisoned elephants, Panchavadyam, Pandimelam and a major fireworks display, creating one of the district’s memorable expressions of temple-festival culture.
