Why this place stands out

Valanjanganam Waterfalls, also called Ninnumullipara, is a roadside waterfall near Kuttikkanam in Peerumade, Idukki, especially scenic during the monsoon.

Valanjanganam Waterfalls is a scenic cascade in the Kuttikkanam–Peerumedu region of Idukki district, Keralam. Keralam Revenue’s official Peermade village portal identifies the waterfall, locally called Ninnumullipara, as a tourist place near Kuttikkanam on the Kottayam–Kumily state highway. Keralam Tourism also lists Valanjanganam among the waterfalls that add to the appeal of the Peerumedu high ranges.

The attraction is particularly convenient because it can be appreciated during a road journey without a long trek. In the monsoon and immediately after good rainfall, water flows strongly down the green roadside slope, while mist and cool air reinforce the classic Kuttikkanam atmosphere. During drier periods, the cascade may be much smaller.

Kuttikkanam and Peermade use PIN 685531 and the area lies in Peerumade taluk. Visitors should park only in safe designated spaces and remain alert to passing traffic. Wet rock near the falls can be slippery, and approaching the cascade during very heavy rain is unsafe. Valanjanganam pairs naturally with Peeru Hills, Parunthumpara and other southern-Idukki viewpoints.
