Kanjiramattam Mosque

Kanjiramattam Mosque is an important pilgrimage site in Ernakulam district, Kerala, associated with the memory of the Sufi saint Sheikh Fariduddin. Kerala Tourism highlights the mosque’s peaceful devotional setting as well as the annual Kanjiramattam Kodikuthu festival, generally celebrated in January. One of the festival’s defining observances is Chandanakkudam, in which decorated pots associated with sandalwood offerings are carried in procession.

Traditional performance forms such as Duffmuttu and Kolkali also form part of the celebrations, giving the event a strong cultural dimension alongside its religious meaning.
