Mampuram Maqam

Mampuram Maqam is one of Malappuram district’s most important Muslim pilgrimage centres, located in the Mampuram area of A.R. Nagar village in Tirurangadi taluk. The shrine complex includes a dargah and mosque and is closely associated with Sayyid Alavi Thangal, remembered as a spiritual leader and social reformer who also played a role in the anti-colonial history of Malabar.

Keralam Tourism notes that his tomb is housed at the Maqam and that the site continues to attract large numbers of devotees, especially for Thursday prayers and the annual Uroos.
