Chal Beach

Chal Beach is located in Azhikode Grama Panchayat, roughly north of Kannur city, and has developed into one of the district's more organised coastal attractions. DTPC Kannur identifies it as a Blue Flag-certified beach, reflecting standards connected with environmental management, safety, cleanliness and visitor amenities. The beach extends along a broad sandy shoreline and includes a designated swimming area monitored by lifeguards.

Visitor features described by DTPC include a children's park, a butterfly park, accessible toilets, freshwater showers and drinking-water facilities. Seasonal Olive Ridley turtle-conservation activity also gives the destination an educational nature component.
