Anchuthengu Lighthouse

Anchuthengu Lighthouse, identified by the Directorate General of Lighthouses and Lightships as Anjengo Lighthouse, is a coastal navigation landmark at Anchuthengu in Chirayinkeezhu taluk, Thiruvananthapuram district. Government lighthouse records state that it was commissioned on 30 April 1988. Its location beside a traditional fishing settlement and close to Anchuthengu Fort makes the lighthouse a useful second stop for travellers exploring the area’s maritime character.

Even without tower access, the surrounding coastline provides a strong sense of the geography that made Anchuthengu important for shipping and trade.
