Ananthapura Lake Temple

Ananthapura Lake Temple is located at Ananthapura near Kumbla in Kasaragod district and is widely described by Keralam Tourism as the only lake temple in Keralam. The shrine is traditionally regarded as the original abode, or moolasthanam, of Lord Anantha Padmanabha, linking it spiritually with the famous Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram. The temple stands within a lake, giving the complex an unusual and serene setting that distinguishes it from most Keralam shrines.
