About Echo Point
Echo Point is one of the most popular short stops on the scenic road from Munnar toward Top Station in Idukki district. Keralam Tourism places it roughly 15 to 17 kilometres from Munnar and identifies the natural echo phenomenon as its defining attraction: voices called out across the open landscape can return from the surrounding hills. The setting adds substantially to the experience, with green slopes, cool high-range weather and water beside the viewpoint giving the area a calm picnic atmosphere.
Echo Point is also part of the larger Munnar mountain landscape associated with Neelakurinji flowering and panoramic Western Ghats views. Most visitors spend a relatively short time here before continuing toward Kundala and Top Station, making it well suited to a multi-stop day trip. Its appeal is simple but memorable—a natural sound effect experienced in a classic Idukki hill setting, supported by easy access from Munnar.
