About Malampuzha Ropeway
The Malampuzha Ropeway is one of the most popular activity features within the Malampuzha Dam and Garden destination near Palakkad. Keralam Tourism describes the aerial system as about 2,000 feet long, with small rope cars designed for two passengers and running high enough above the gardens to provide a broad view of the landscaped grounds, reservoir and foothills. The ride is short compared with a mountain cable-car journey, but its appeal lies in seeing familiar Malampuzha landmarks from above and enjoying the open-air perspective.
It pairs naturally with a visit to the Rock Garden, Yakshi sculpture, boating areas and the main garden. As with any mechanical attraction, operation can be interrupted by weather, maintenance or safety checks. Visitors should confirm current operating hours, ticketing and age or safety restrictions at the site before relying on the ropeway as the main purpose of a trip.
