Rajendra Maidan

Rajendra Maidan is a prominent public ground on Park Avenue in central Ernakulam, within the historic civic and waterfront precinct of Kochi. The open space sits close to Subhash Chandra Bose Park, the Ernakulam boat-jetty area, government institutions and other landmarks along Park Avenue. It has long formed part of the city’s public landscape, serving as a venue for gatherings and as an open green break within a dense urban centre.

The Greater Cochin Development Authority has included Rajendra Maidan among the parks and open spaces associated with its development work, and recent plans have continued to focus on beautification and public use of the site.
