Sree Mahalingeswara Temple, Adoor

Sree Mahalingeswara Temple is situated at Adoor in Delampady, in the eastern part of Kasaragod district, beside the Payaswini River. The ancient shrine is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is surrounded by traditions connecting the site with Arjuna and the Kiratha episode of the Mahabharata, in which Shiva appears in the form of a hunter.
