Ranipuram Hills

Ranipuram Hills rises in the eastern part of Kasaragod district near Panathady, where the Keralam highlands merge toward the mountain landscapes of Karnataka. Formerly called Madathumala, Ranipuram reaches about 750 metres above sea level and is recognised as the highest-altitude region in the district. Its scenery combines evergreen shola forest, open grasslands, wildflowers and Western Ghats vegetation, creating a markedly different experience from Kasaragod’s beaches and backwaters.
