About Ponnani Beach
Ponnani Beach is one of the principal coastal attractions of Ponnani in Malappuram district, Keralam. The beach lies within a distinctive maritime landscape where the Bharathapuzha approaches the Arabian Sea and Ponnani’s long history as a port and fishing centre remains visible. Keralam Tourism promotes the beach as a family destination and highlights its open shoreline and recreational setting.
Visitors can enjoy sunset views, sea breeze, photography and the everyday activity of a working coastal town. Ponnani Lighthouse, the harbour, historic mosques and the estuarine riverfront can all be included in the same itinerary. The beach is most comfortable in the morning or late afternoon, especially outside periods of heavy rain.
Swimming conditions can be unpredictable on the Arabian Sea coast, so visitors should follow local warnings and avoid entering rough water. Ponnani Municipality uses PIN 679577.
