Overbury's Folly

Overbury's Folly is a well-known seaside park in Thalassery, Kannur district, Kerala, and forms part of the town's heritage tourism landscape. Kerala Tourism records that the site is named after E. N.

Overbury, who began developing the hill-slope recreation area in 1879 but did not complete the original project, leading to the enduring name 'Folly'. The park sits near the Thalassery Municipal Stadium and slopes towards the rocky Arabian Sea coast, creating broad sunset and sea views. Today the site is used as a public recreation space with landscaped paths, benches, a watchtower and a coffee-shop setting.
