Sree Chithra Art Gallery

Sree Chithra Art Gallery is part of the Museum Junction cultural complex in Thiruvananthapuram, Keralam. Opened in 1935 under the patronage of Sree Chithira Thirunal, the gallery developed from royal and institutional collections and today represents several important traditions of Indian painting. The strongest draw for many visitors is the group of works associated with Raja Ravi Varma and the Kilimanoor royal family.

Displays also include works connected with the Bengal School and other Indian traditions, along with selected paintings from elsewhere in Asia. The gallery offers a quieter, art-focused contrast to the neighbouring Napier Museum and zoo, making it easy to combine several attractions on the same outing.
